My name is K.Jaswanth.At the age of 7 years i was joined in the project and at that time our financial condition is very poor. My father works in electrical office on daily basis and my mother is house wife and my elder brother is a mason, with the project support I completed my Bachelors Degree . I was selected as CRPF and presently working in Chattisgad.Only with the support of the project I got this job.I am very thankful to Zion Charitable Trust and compassion

Anaparthi Naveena

My name is Anaparthi Naveena . I was studyind 2 nd class when I was joined in the project. I am having one younger sister and Brother. My father name is Bhogiraju and mother name is Nookaratam. My father sells old clothes in the streets and markets and earns very little money which is not enough to reach house hold needs. I completed B.A. B.Ed. and studying M.A. Final year now with the support of the project. While studying M. A I worked in a private school as Teacher and earned salary Rs.8000/- per month to support the parents. As I joined in the project I was able to complete the studies. My younger sister and brother got inspiration from me and they are studying B. Sc 1st year and younger brother is studying 10th class. When I was attending to project I learned many useful things like Leadership development, Moral values, Communication skills, health care and many other things. Through the project I have seen many historical and new places, big cities in our state and famous parks that were useful to get knowledge. I participated in many camps like teen’s camps, youth camps, educational trips and sports and got many prizes in all completions As I studied with the help of the project I am the only one who completed Post Graduate in my community and other than me there is no any post graduate student in my community and many of the children children in the community and project inspired by seeing me. Samana Suresh

My name is samana Suresh . I was studying 3rd class when I was joined in the project. I belongs to very needy and poor family. I am having one elder sister. My father name is Satyanarayana and mother name is lakshmi. My father is working as Driver and earns Rs.6000/- per month which is not sufficient to reach the basic house hold needs. As I studied through the project help I completed B.tech and joined as a trainer in a Coramandal Industries, earns money Rs. 5000/- per month. Without project support I could not complete the course because my father earns very small amount for our daily needs. While studying in the project I learned music, computer and I am also one of the best players in the volley ball team. I can play guitar learned in the project. I attended many useful lifeskill classes like leadership development, Moral values, communication skills, health care etc. I participated in many camps like teen’s camps, youth camps, educational trips and sports which were also very useful to me. I am very happy working with the coramandal company as a trainee to support the family by earning money. My Parents were also very happy with my success .I am very thankful to Zion Charitable Trust and compassion.

Ramavarapu Anand

My name is Ramavarapu Anand . I joined in the project when I was studying 3rd class. My family belongs to poor community. My father name is Yohanu and mother name is Subbalakshmi. Father was a tailor and used to earn money Rs.6000/- per month which is not sufficient to reach our every day basic needs. Through project support I completed degree. After completion of My Degree I got a Job in an Info Tech company for data entry and earns salary Rs.10,000/- per month. Without project support help I could not be able to complete degree. I learned many useful things like leadership development, moral values, communication skills, health care and many other things. I participated in many camps like teen’s camps, youth camps, educational trips and sports which were also very useful to learn many wonderful things to have good and successful future life. I am very happy in working in the info tech company to earn money to survive the family needs. I was first student who completed degree in my project so many other children were inspired by me . I am very thankful to Zion Charitable Trust and compassion.

Saladi Mounika

My name is Saladi Mounika . I was studying 2nd class when I joined in the project. My family belongs to poor community. I am having two younger sisters. My father name is Rajababu and mother lakshmi. My father is agricultural labor and earned Rs.7000/- per month which was not sufficient to overcome all the house hold needs. Now i completed M.Tech through the project support then got a job in private office and earns Rs.9000/- per month. I used to secure 1st rank in all classes and got admission in B. Tech in Javaharlal Nehru university in Kakinada and completed M. Tech. I completed M.TECH with project support only ,Without project support i could not have reached these level. Now I am supporting my parents and they were very happy and were proud by seeing me. In the project I use to attend many useful classes like leadership development, moral values, communication skills, health care and many other things which are really helpful for the future life . I participated in many camps like teen’s camps, youth camps, educational trips and sports which were also very useful to learn many wonderful things to have good and successful future life. My two sisters who are studying B.Sc degree and Intermediate got inspiration from me and ther are studying well. My Father and mother were very happy with our performances in the Education. I am very thankful to Zion Charitable Trust and compassion.

Kammisetti Rajaprasad

My name is Raja Prasad . I was joined in the project when I was studying 3rd class. Our family belongs to the poor community. I am having one elder brother. My father name is Adinarayana and mother name is Jayalakshmi. My father sells vegetables in market and earns Rs.7000/- per month which is not sufficient to reach all basic house hold needs. My Father isnot intrested in education when I joined in the project with the support of the project now I am able to complete M.com and doing job in private hospital and earning Rs. 9500/- per month. If I did not join in the project I would have become vegetable vender like my father but because of the project support only I was able to complete my education. Now my parents are very happy with my financial support . I am very thankful to Zion Charitable Trust and compassion.

Gunadepalli Sravani

My name is Gunadepalli Sravani (0072). I was studying 2 nd class when I joined in the project. We came from the poor background. I have two younger sisters. My father is an illiterate and used to work in a hotel as a cleaner and earned Rs.6000/- per month which is not sufficient to meet our daily needs, but project used to support for my studies. I usually gets first class marks in all exams. I was able to complete B.Sc Degree with maths subject and passed with first class marks. After completion of the Degree I got a job as Probationary officer in Andhra Bank and earns Rs.25000/- per month. My father was hopeless to provide education to the children but I was supported by the project and lot of encouragement from the project staff. After I got the job my father stopped to work in the hotel and now I am taking care of my parents, they are very happy.I am very thankful to Zion Charitable Trust and compassion .

This is regarding child M. Denny Sri -, age 12 above (IN-474 – 0049) She got Certificate of Merit in ‘Essay Writing’ Stood in 1st place in School level. She got one awards in ‘Samskrutha Bharathi’ which related to Sanskrit Language and another award from ‘ Samskara Bharathi’ in Drawing Competition. She also appearing for DSL(DREM SCHOLARS LEAGUE), she is already through with 2 stages and there is one more stage yet to get through, if she qualifies, then she will be awarded with Rs. 6,00,000/- (for 1st Place) Rs.3,00,000/- (for 2nd place) the awarded cash will be used for her future studies. She in 8th std now. Her father is HIV+ parent.

There will a cluster level Talent Fest once in every two years in which children from Vijayawada Cluster – nearly 13 project children will participate. Our center got 3 first places in three events -

  • Child V. Yaswanth (0035) got first place in Elocution and also first place in Drawing and Another girl child Navya (0106) got first place in singing.
  • one more child by Name V. Sanjay(0202) participated in Zoinal level Khabadi Tournament , his Team got First place in the Tournament.
  • S. Praneeth (0191) our project child doing his 8th std. in Nirmala English Medium school , got trained in Marshal Arts – Karate ; he is the leader for the Karate class and teaching other children.

K. Jaya Vardhan who is now studying in 5th grade has been suffering from “CONGENITAL TOTAL MICROTIA LEFT EAR WITH EXTERNAL AUDITORY CANAL ATRESIA” from his birth. The parents of Jaya Vardhan consulted many Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) specialists who advised that he needed ‘surgery’. The parents discussed with us and decided that Dr. NVRB Prasad MS ENT, at Vijayawada ENT Hospital for the surgery. Dr. Prasad investigated Jaya Vardhan problem meticulously and told that he needs six surgeries over a period of 18 months and we are pleased to inform that Compassion International contributed Rs. 6,00,000 On August 27, 2015 Dr. Prasad took skin from Jaya Vardhan’s ribs and shaped it into an ear and grafted it on his ear. Later on 23 January 2016 the second surgery was done, after the 2nd surgery there was on striking change on the face of Jaya Vardhan, he was excited to see his EAR in the mirror!

 

M. KARUNA BABU was suffering with chronic kidney disease since 2008, we have taken him to various Nephrologists in Vijayawada for treatment. They advised to kidney transplantation, fortunately KarunaBabu’s sister Swathi came forward to donate her kidney. On 28th January 2013 Dr. N. Ammana, Arun Kidney Centre Vijayawada successfully transplanted one of Swathi’s healthy kidney to KarunaBabu and we are pleased to inform that Compassion International contributed Rs. 9,00,000.

 

Free Medical Health Camp

A Mega Healthcamp was held not just for Sponsored Children but all the people in the Community on 14th September 2012 at Eluru CD Project premises during 10AM to 5PM.

The Project Coordinator Mr. VijayaBhaskar with the support of Doctors from Multispecialty Hospital ASRAM (Alluri Seetha Rama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences) Hospital, a Doctor from Good Samaritan Cancer & General Hospital and nine private Doctors who are practicing in Eluru donated their services on September 14, 2012.

15 Doctors participated in the Medical Camp and they conducted different programs like General Checkups, Pediatric camp, ENT camp, skin camp, Gynecology camp, Dental camp, Eyecamp, Blood Pressure test, ECG Tests etc. were done. The project children were volunteers during the medical camp, welcoming people to the camp. they helped aged people, recorded the names and their ailment of the people who came for the Medical Camp, Guiding the people to the Doctors according to their ailment, providing drinking water to the people etc. All the Doctors felt very happy about the camp. Rs. 91,000 worth of medicines were distributed freely on that day.

HIV/AID ‘S – infected Parents are 22, infected children are 4 and effected children are 33. Awareness Class are specially conducted to HIV/AIDS Infected / effected both Children and Parents - classes like Awareness on increasing CD4 Count and using ART, Nutritious food, We teach the ‘Necessity of Savings’ and We conduct AIDS Day on Dec.1st, NGO staff from other organization would come to enlighten the patients on how to live and maintain their health; this is a great help for them.

The CIV Program is great helpful to infected children and parents, they have been getting regular Notorious Supplementary food items, worth of nearly Rs.1500/- every month which boost their resistance Power, in a way – Rs. 1,500 x 20 patients = 30,000 x 12 months = 3,60,000 sending on this people this is only for supplementary food items apart from Medical support – pay amount for medical bills; if they don’t have this program, many would have died long back, the span of Life is increased day by day, their health condition is intact by using ART regularly. Many of infected parents are going for jobs – parents are working as Attender in Bank and in Pharmacy College, Agricultural Laborers, as Painters, Tailors, doing Milk and Fruit business. By God’s Grace all of them are having a normal life like others. They feel the CIV Program is a God’s blessing to them and in turn to their families.

My name is Srilatha I am a house wife my husband is a lorry driver. His income is not sufficient to our family I would like to earn some money but there is no work . 1. M. Aruna (IN-127-0112)

M. Aruna joined in Annavaram Child Development Project when she was studying 2nd class. Her parents could not earn enough money to reach their daily basic needs as they are daily laborers. At the time of her childhood, parents unable to provide sufficient food for the children as they earn very little amount to get daily needs. They do not have hope to provide better life for the children. At the time of the child joining in the project the family was in very much need of financial support to provide education to the children. Her father was drunkard who is not taking care of the children and wife. Mother has to look after the children.

So Aruna had joined in the Project when the family was looking for financial assistance. As she was joined in the project she can continue her studies till the completion of GNM course in Haritha School of Nursing in Kakinada city. As she completed the GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) she is looking for job to work any government and private hospitals. She completed graduation on 18th July’14.

She has father, mother and a younger brother. Father is doing as a sweeper in local Panchayat office for daily wages; mother is an agricultural labor. Brother is also in the project and he is studying ITI (Industrial Training Institute). As she completed the course she is inspired by her brother and some of other students in the community.

Project helped her to pay school fees, every year school uniforms, taken medical care for her and her family members. As she learnt many spiritual things in the project which influenced her to accept Jesus her personal Savior and taken baptism while she was studying in Intermediate.

So she is very thankful to compassion organization and especially to his sponsor.

2. K. Naga Lakshmi (IN-127-0066)

K. Nagalakshmi completed her graduation with GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) on 5th June ’14. She had joined in the project in 1998 when she was studying in U.K.G. Before the joining the child in the project the family was facing many financial crises. They do not have sufficient food, clothes and all other daily needs. Parents could not provide the basic things as they are doing daily laborers so they need to get financial support from others to provide education to the children. She successfully completed GNM with the financial support through Annavaram Child Development project. Now she is looking for job in private and government hospital.

Nagalakshmi has both parents, doing an agricultural labor, also having one younger sister who is studying 10th class now. As Nagalakshmi is getting financial support through project parents can provide education to her younger sister who wants to study GNM to be a nurse. Her father addicted with alcohol, due to that he is unable to look after the family, mother only take care of the children.

Nagalakshmi is the only one who completed graduation in the family because both parents are illiterates and younger sister still studying 10th class. Because of the project financial support she is able to complete GNM to reach her goal as nurse.

Project provided food every day; all study materials, school uniforms and all other things for her daily needs. Because of the help of the project she can be completed GNM to be a nurse in private and government hospitals. She is very thankful to compassion and to her beloved sponsor.

3. G. Ganga Raju (IN-127-0056)

G. Ganga Raju is completed 1st year DED (Diploma in Education) after completion of his B. A. degree. Now he is studying 2nd year DED. He can complete the course through the financial support of Compassion project at Annavaram. He joined in the project when he was studying 2nd class. At the time of joining the child in the project the child’s family in very much need of financial help. Both parents are daily laborers and earn very little money for the family daily needs. Parents could not provide sufficient clothes to wear and food to eat. The money what parents earn is not enough even to reach their every day needs because father was a drunkard; he used to spend the money for his daily drinking so all the burdens of the family up on the mother. Mother has to look after the children. But she could not provide education to the children so again she joined the second son in the project and he completed MLT (Medical Lab Technician).

The result of the father’s continuous drinking; his father passed away in the year 2009. Ganga Raju is having one younger brother and younger sister. Brother has completed MLT and going to be joined B.Sc., MLT through the financial help of project. Sister is completed but stopped her studies due to lack of financial help.

Ganga Raju is the only one student in the community who is studying teacher training and he became role model to his younger brother and to the other students in the community. After completion of the 2nd year DED he will get teacher post in government and private schools. Mother is very happy with the younger children as they complete their goals with the help of the project.

As he studied in the project he could be completed degree and DED course. Without project help he might not complete his goal because he wants to be a teacher. He is so thankful to compassion and especially to his sponsor.

4. P. Talupulu (IN-127-0065)

P. Talupulu is studying in 2nd year DED (Diploma in Education). He admitted in the project when he was studying 2nd year, at that time his family was in very much financial troubles. He has father, mother, a younger sister and a younger brother. Father is working as sweeper in the local Panchayath office for daily wages which is not enough even to reach basic needs for the family. I got chance to have admission in to the project when his parents were looking for some one’s help to provide education. Through the project help he completed B. Com degree and he joined in to DEd., course, it is teacher training course as he has a goal to be a teacher.

As he is studying through the project parents can provide education to the siblings too, brother is studying MLT (Medical Lab Training) and sister is completed 10th class. After completion of DEd., he could be get teacher job in any private and government school then he will look after his parents.

As he studied in the project he learnt many valuable things regarding spiritual, physical, social and cognitive to change his life style that would useful to be example to other students. Through project he learnt about personality development, leadership qualities, skills development and also many other things which would help to have good future life than other children the community.

So he is very gratitude to all the people those who help him to reach my goal to have a successful life in the future. Especially he is very thankful to his sponsor who helped him financially till now.

5. P. Lova Raju (IN-127-0116)

P. Lova Raju is completed B. Tech with Mechanical in 2014 and got a job as a mechanical Engineer in a private company in Hyderabad. He joined in the project when he was in 2nd class, at that time the child’s family is very poor and poverty, parents used to earn every little money which is not enough even to reach their daily basic things as they are seasonal agricultural laborers. They will not get work all the days in the year; so sometimes they need to spend the days with fasting without having food. They do not have hope to provide education to the children but when lovaraju joined in the project; the family circumstance became positive.

Lovar Raju is having one younger brother and younger sister, brother discontinued intermediate and stopped studies and sister is 2nd year intermediate and able to continue with the financial support of Lova Raju. His brother could not continue studies as he doesn’t know the value of it but Lovaraju able to complete Engineering as he knew the value education and personality development and many other valuable things beyond the other students in the community by attending all activities which were conduct by the project so he is the only student who completed B.Tec and got job in project and community. He secured 1st class marks in 10th class and Intermediate annual exams.

He earns nearly ten thousand rupees in every month and used to help to his parents by sending money. As he studied in the project he can complete the course and got job in the private company. Through project he learnt many wonderful things like personality development, leadership qualities and also several awareness classes which will useful to change his life style.

As he attend Sunday school every week and also every activities in the activities which led him to accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior and taken baptism while he was studying in Intermediate. Reading Bible and pray to God every day became his hobbies as he studied in the project. He knew how to respect elders in the society so his father is very happy with the child. The child and all his family are very grateful to compassion and especially to the sponsor who have been helped financially until completion of the course.
